The #metoo Movement

Why was my post just deleted? Are we not allowed to discuss the #metoo movement now? And if not, why?

?

its technically not political so i think it should be allowed

Note: i didn’t see @PatrickT 's original thread.

I don’t know,

Maybe because we’ve already had a thread addressing it?

Maybe its considered political.

It’s arguably the biggest story of the century so far…affecting many facets of our daily work lives and all of society… and we aren’t allowed to talk about it?

Patrick, why are you always posting about controversial topics?

It would be a refreshing change if you posted more about positive stuff.

With all due respect @moonbeam, there’s no rule against controversial topics if they are within the range of accepted categories.

Well, controversial topics tend to blow up and get locked.

Also, I’m frankly kinda tired of Patricks repeated posts about women and women’s issues. He’s been warned about this and I’m trying to keep him from repeating the same mistake.

I think it’s okay. There’s nothing that won’t be adopted as a cause by one political faction or another. People should be allowed to vent their experiences, as long as they’re not trolling or attacking people unnecessarily.

This is the problem though, isn’t it?

The Moderators think they are my Mother.

Patrick may not be a feminist, but again, with all due respect I believe you’re letting bias get in the way of moderating fairly. But I see where you’re coming from in a sense. These threads do tend to blow up.

Look folks, I’m asking you all nicely to stop. I’d appreciate it.
