hey mate…had all the brothers around…big catholic family so that was four of us. Interesting fight. Macgrefore obviously hadn’t fought a boxing match but I’m no expert!
It was still a decent view… That MacGregor was a tough sob. I can’t deny that and he had the best of the early rounds but Mayweather had him covered late!
My bro paid for our satelite coverage which was $60…we definately got our value out of it and the under card! Interesting and worth a watch!

Yeah he went out like George Foreman against Muhammad Ali at Rumble in the Jungle. Got wore out fast. He’s not used to that kind of fight and Floyd took advantage in the end.
Ref made a good call stopping the fight before Connor got a serious injury. Connor seemed like he was trying to fight like an mixed martial artist. Go in and knock out fast. Cost him in the fight in the end.

I figured McGregor wouldn’t have the experience and boxing technique to beat Mayfield. Now, if they could get Mayfield to do it, they ought to have an mma match between the two. It could be a real money maker and a big boost for mma. If the money was right Mayfield might do it.

Yeah I heard that name yesterday too. I think it was one of the fighters floyd fought against. No worries

I watched the full fight on YouTube.com It wasn’t a fair fight, I don’t think. Mayweather was obviously the more professional boxer. He had both his gloves up covering his head and face throughout the fight like a pro. McGregor, the dummy, had both his gloves down around his waist throughout the fight like an amateur, leaving his head wide open for punishment. And he took it in the ninth and tenth rounds too.

Yeah he started using pure boxing stance near the end there but he was so tired, you could see it in his face. He was going to go down regardless. The referee broke them up to give Conor a chance to come back but he kept taking more punishment. It would have taken one more blow before Conor was on the matt. Floyd was wound up to knock him out but the ref called it just in time.
To Conor’s credit, he did have a lot of unique fighting styles to bring to the game.

He shouldn’t have brought other fighting styles to the game. They weren’t allowed. It was a boxing match.
Conor has a big mouth and almost as big of a head, which he showed through using those other styles. He paid for it in the end though. Floyd handled the hits well and baited him into expending more energy by covering up and turning his back. Eventually Conor couldn’t help himself anymore. He hit the metaphorical wall.
