Well put……………unfortunately there are people who have to find out the hard way. We can tell people until we’re blue in the face that marijuana might trigger schizophrenia, marijuana might put you into psychosis with a trip to tne hospital possible, it might put you in jail or eat up all your money and put you in debt, marijuana very well could possibly or indirectly make you end up the street etc. You will still have the non-believers.
This may be a lame question , but I wonder how much the decision to try cannabis can be down to peer pressure?
That,of course requires having a social network. Whether it’s a good social network is another matter. Even when younger,way before overt signs of mental illness I had no friends…
Truth is I’ve never had much of a social network . Therefore I’ve never had very much peer pressure.
That contrasts with my brother who had rather more of a social network. He’s become a little more withdrawn since the psychosis, but still can make friends.
Admittedly some of his ‘friends’ in the past would be better classified as people who used him.
My brother has done drugs. I never have. The difference could be less the propensity for addiction,but the differing level of social network.
