The benefit of joining the workforce is you get to pay taxes

You will also be considered a contributer to society regardless of if your job is obsolete or not

I pay taxes and I get SSDI because I only work part time. So it balances out a little bit more than just SSDI alone

Joining the workforce allows you to have income to spend. The government of a country’s macroeconomic policy is to have the lowest unemployment rate as possible. A country must utilise its population so that each citizen can benefit from the work they do. Healthcare, social security and retirement pension ought to be covered by the employer or government. Personal income taxes are a minor factor when an individual is employed.
