I live in the USA and I’ve never really done well here. High pressures growing up to make good grades (which i did not.). There is also disincentive to advance professionally. If you move from a job working 35 hours a week at wal mart to a full time job making $15 an hour, you would actually make less because you would have to pay health care costs.
Being in ssdi there really is no incentive to get a job. Everything would be great until the 9 month trial work period ends and I would have to explain to my boss why I can’t work over 12 hours a week. What they should do is doc your benefit check for any earnings over $840 (or whatever SGA is).
The US government catches a lot of crap because it does things like this. Ideally things have done better when the government doesn’t get Involved.
Do yo live in a country where the government is more highly esteemed?
