Good thinking @Divergent . We wear clothes here to protect us from the ozonholes. The sun here is deadly. UV radiation. I learned it in school back in the early 90s. I guess in colder climates we wear clothes to stay warm. So its not all about respect and shame.

I don’t know, i am comfortable in trackpants, but they are socially unacceptable. In the heat here i suggest a sarong.
