The answer to why we wear clothes

I think we wear clothes so young children don’t see wangs hanging out all over the place.

The reason we wear clothes is so teenage girls don’t barf up their food-court pizza when they see my fat ah walking down the street!!

I think clothes were made to protect against the elements, originally. Over times, we associated clothing with decency, not showing your “special parts” when out and about. But protecting against the elements is still a big reason for clothing.

And as humanity grew, we started making many different styles of clothes, so that people can personalize their “look”. I think that nowadays, people have a lot of self expression with what they choose to wear.

Lots of tribal civilizations have minimal clothes, covering only lower privates.

I think depending on regional weather and cultures, clothes serves different functions.

But in all cultures - clothes and adornment communicates status, self expression, rights of passages, religious belief systems.

Today fast fashion trends keep changing to keep the clothing economy booming.
