Well, I don’t know how much I can really help you, but you should definitely talk to a good therapist. And try and work on those negative thoughts, because they are eating you up. The “I’m a failure” and the “I’ll always be a failure” are not very helpful thoughts to have,
Maybe talk to some of your friends or family you trust about your situation, unless you think they will be hard on you about it.
Youre right, they arent good. Im working on getting things lined up. Im also working on talking to people. Its easier to talk to my parents now that i dont live with them. I dont have to worry about constantly seeing them or worry so much about how theyll look at me. They didnt always understand what was going on. Also working on talking to my husband. Ive never really just openly talked to people so its new. Especially when it comes to my psychotic symptoms
Well, you also don’t have to be too open about the stuff, just with people you trust that will help elevate you and not put you down for your problems. I hope you get the help that you need, cause you definitely deserve some happiness. Psychotic symptoms you gotta unfortunately be careful who you tell though, since there is some stigma attached to that stuff (well maybe not as much as schizophrenia). Hopefully you get what I’m trying to say.
I think i get what youre saying. Its good to talk to people but there is still a stigma so talk to trusted people who you know wont judge or stigmatize you. Its okay not to talk to everyone about it but i should at least talk to someone.
Exactly, I think there is much less stigma attached to non specified psychosis though, since it can happen to anyone, in times under extreme stress. So you might be fine to talk to all your friends about it, trust your gut I think.
