I’m still having movements even though I’m on ingrezza… I’m looking at going back to the nurse practitioner instead of my pdoc do to finances
It is said that the old 1. gen antipsychotics often cause TD. I’ve been on such an old meds by injection for 26 years. I just want to say that if the drug causes TD I’ll stay on it wlith the additional inggriza because there doesn’t exist any drug that can replace my LAI.
@columbus I was on abilify for over a year I’m now on caplyta but I’m still having movements even on 80 mg of ingrezza
I got td from abilify, we immediately discontinued it and after some time it went away. Now I’m having some symptoms but I’m not sure if it’s td or not. I’ll have to talk to my pdoc asap and see what she thinks. I know that Ingrezza wasn’t on the market yet when I had td. Maybe she’ll want me to try some.
There is also Austedo. Im waiting to be authorized to try it because im on caplyta which isn’t supposed to cause td but it started moving from my arms to my tongue so he thinks the invega is still affecting me and to try the new med.
I’m so sorry for you I just said that I prefered to go into treatment with ingrizza because I’ve tried all kinds of antipsychotics and the ones I’m on now are the only ones that do the job to keep psychosis and aggitation at bay. But I do agree with you that it’s a very very difficult sitiuation to live with TD. And I should have shut up and kept myself to respond to your post this way.
@columbus I get that I’m just having problems
I understand that and truly pray for you that time will Heal you from TD.
@columbus I appreciate that
