Tardive Dyskinesia Ad

An advertisement for Ingrezza keeps playing at the dealership I’m getting my car serviced at. Very odd place to be advertising a med for TD
Makes me a bit paranoid. I’m worried they’re playing it just because I’m here.
I’m glad it’s getting the word out tho

I’ve seen the ad dozens of times on TV.

I don’t watch tv, maybe that explains why I haven’t seen it before now

I’ve lived in fear of developing TD ever since I first heard about it back in the mid 2000s after I started taking mental health meds. Fortunately the meds I’ve been on long term have a lower incidence of TD but it always remains a possibility.

I’m glad they are working on the problem though, I just have no idea how effective these TD meds really are.

I’ve also heard of another TD medication called Austedo.

One thing I can say about the ads, I think the mentally ill characters are portrayed as nice and likeable.

Vit. E can possibly help against TD.
