Taking vitamins with a healthy/well balanced diet

Continuing the discussion from Do vitamin supplements really work:

I didn’t want to interfere with the original thread. As Wave says: Taking vitamins/supplements instead of proper medications is always a dumb idea.

I wanted to expand on this thought though. Taking vitamins and supplements, I think, should be considered as a form of physical well-being. I don’t think very many people actually get the nutrition they need by food alone. Check out the below diagram on what is needed daily to get the nutrition we need.

I go to a Ph. D. who specializes in Over The Counter supplementation. He says, for one thing, the medicines I take are toxic, and I need super nutrition just to detox from them.

instead of meds i do vitamins in high doses…for me it takes the edge of …for a while.
organic food.
no colours…etc…
but i have a very strict food intake, not for everyone.
