They say that if you are eating healthy/well balanced diet - taking vitamins are not necessary. With that said, I take a multi vitamin in the morning, first thing. I eat well, but I take a multi vitamin any way, out of habit.
I dont know if its necessary, but I take it regardless. I do think that people afflicted with schizophrenia and bipolar etc… can benefit from taking fish oil capsules - especially EPA. I take prescription strength fish oil - Lovaza for high triglycerides but I am sure it is benefiting me in other areas.
Taking vitamins/supplements instead of proper medications is always a dumb idea
