I am taking risperidone 2 mg , lurasidone and S cita dap. Thoughts?
The resperidone (Risperdal) is for psychosis, the lurasidone (Latuda) is for bipolar disorder (especially depression), and the S-Citadep is for anxiety and OCD. Do I have that right?
Are you having any adverse reactions?
Risperidone was the most effective med I was on for my psychotic symptoms and was the only AP I didn’t get akesthesia from. Unfortunately I also gained like 20 lbs on it and it raised my prolactin dangerously high so I had to quit. I’m assuming you’re a girl from your username, if you start lactating tell your pdoc right away because that can signify your prolactin is too high, and if you let that go on too long it could significantly increase your risk for breast cancer.
I hated lurasidone. I was on it as an antipsychotic and it gave me miserable akesthesia that pushed me to suicidal thoughts. I quit it pretty quickly.
Don’t know anything about the third one.
You had problems with latuda? I take it now and I’m very unhappy, I wonder if that is why. Can you reccomend a decent weight neutral one or they don’t exist?
I can’t, I’m sorry. Neither Abilify nor latuda made me gain weight, but both gave me intolerable akesthesia/anxiety.
I heard geodon also has very little chance of making you gain weight but I’ve never tried it.

I recommend lamotrigine (Lamictal). Have you tried that?
Risperidone took care of my symptoms very quickly, but it made me nauseous and I gained thirty pounds.

I’m on it now 150 mg at night. It’s better than antipsychotics but I have word finding difficulties on it now. I think I’ll be on lamictal for life. It’s for kindling my Dr told me.
