Sz related movies

Someone posted about movies that portray sz characters. Which thread was that? I wanted to look at the descriptions of the movies again. I might watch one. Any suggestions?

I heard that “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” was about schizophrenia, but I haven’t seen it.

Rotten tomatoes gave it a 94%, seems like a classic.

Hell yeah. Fight club is one of the best films I’ve ever seen.

Donnie Darko was interesting but inaccurate. Mad Love was okay, but that was probably more about bipolar (which I think is on the schizophrenia spectrum anyways).

Fight club is not sz related. It is a classic multiple personality disorder!

Pfft…Of all places for this to be confused.

I’ve seen it, but I irritate people by seeing the villain as the actual hero of the film. I’m all for a quiet psych-ward and am perfectly okay with anyone loud getting a lobotomy so long as they stop bothering me.

There was one hospital I was in that had a lot of “sick patients” at the time. That is what the staff called them. Multiples times a day there was yelling and fighting. We were continually put on lock down in our rooms. A few times I had to be escorted to a meal because there was a man they couldn’t trust around me. My roommate got caught stealing from other people’s rooms. I brought nothing personal with me, but she even stole the toilet paper and tissues they gave me! I’ve been hospitalized at least eight times. I’ve never been in a psyche ward as loud as that one!

I watched a documentary about a forensic hospital with sz patients called “out of mind, out of sight”

There’s always girl, interrupted.
It’s a good movie.
She supposedly has SZ but then figures out it might be something else. Learns how to deal.
It’s more about the other patients in the ward and other mental illness though.
It’s been a while since I watched it so I might just be talking nonsense lol it IS a good movie though

OH there’s also this show on Netflix,
Called Don’t call me crazy.
It’s real life though,
Films the progress of teens in a mental institution. It’s painfully real.
