I read the first one. It made me sad because it goes over a long time and everyone dies.
Yeah, it’s very realistic. The second one deals with plague times.
I’m reading Divided Minds by the Spiro identical twin sisters. One started hearing voices at age 11 and much later was diagnosed with sz. The other twin was healthy and became a Dr.
my goal before the end of the year is to read a small novel. I havnt read one in probably 15 years
A Poet’s Life, a short-story collection by Robert Walser. Fun fact: Walser suffered from sz.
At the moment I’m reading Love and Devotion by Erica James.
Want to find and read more of Marian Keyes’s Walsh family series. Five sisters, read two so far. Flea market has two more I’d like to get. I like her books - very light hearted dramas, funny as well.
I’m reading an old heroic fantasy novel " The Elfstones of Shannara" by Terry Brooks. A re read from years ago and it’s okish. Bit simplistic but an easy read. Not sure where I’ll go next but some good sci fi looks appealing.
Trying to finish fellow ship of the ring.
I’m currently reading the mystery novel, The Island, by Ragnar Jónasson.
I finished Column of Fire and then When villians Rise by Rebecca Schaffer. It was the last book in the Not Even Bones trilogy.
“Victorian Ghost Stories: By Eminent Women Writers”, edited by Richard Dalby.
I’m reading The Copper Beech by Maeve Binchy. Set in Ireland, her books have mainly ordinary people living life, good and bad.
So far this month I’ve read Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, and Ruin and Rising. Currently reading Six of Crows and next up is Crooked Kingdom. All by Leigh Bardugo. She’s my current favorite author.
I am the cheese by robert cormier. So far pretty good.
I’ve finished 3 books, and started 3 more.
Echoes by Maeve Binchy
Nights of Rain and Stars by Maeve Binchy
Reached by Ally Condie
Anyone read these authors before?
I just finished my book the Elfstones of Shannara and onto the next in the series. It’s ok fantasy but a bit formulaic even for it’s age. This new one will be the last I read in the series…I’m off to other distant places and looking at a couple of fantasy/sci fi.
reading “love in the time of cholera”…love it…
At moment I’m reading very little but trying to get through “The Lost Symbol” by Dan Brown
I’m currently reading “Mr Know-it-all” by the filmmaker John Waters.
It’s pretty fun. He talks a lot about his life and the films he made. And it’s full of a lot of humor and advice to budding filmmakers.
