Negative symptoms more precisely. Low dopamine from negative symptoms in certain brain region causes low self confidence I read. I was much more confident before sz. Its all about dopamine and negative symptoms

I’d agree but I’d say it’s mostly the positive symptoms. Hearing voices say you’re stupid etc all day really brings your confidence down

I don’t know.
I’ve had at least some OCD tendencies for as long as I can remember.
Things went crazy when I hit puberty.
So I believe, I’ve always had issues.
With the exception of how beat down I’ve been feeling just this year,
I’m extremely confident.
Have been since about 14.
You should stop trying to find articles that try to prove your points on negative symptoms and such.
It’s not helping you.
I feel like you’re trying to justify your inaction.

I want more friends but idk how to meet some. Or rather i don’t want to. My friends have other and more friends than me, i am much less social since sz, i used to easily talk to strangers and make friends before sz, now i dont even care anymore and find everything boring i am even bored of my current friends i want new ones
Not having a job lowered my self confidence, i feel useless. These meds make me sane but dumb and a coward at the same time, my grades in school went down by a lot since sz
You absolutely have to take the first step.
And you’re not strong in that department.
Seems you defeat yourself before even attempting.
I know you’ve made some progress,
But these are the same issues you came here with.
You need to actually make changes.
You need a paradigm shift.

When I took Ldopa I felt much more confident, I guess dopaminergic drugs make people overconfident is true from what i read, overconfidence is a side effect of dopaminergic drugs, I wish my Dr would prescribe me amphetamines but he thinks it will make me psychotic, both ways i am fkd

taking different medicines has made me realize so much of who we are is affected by brain chemicals
