The main issue is that no conclusions could be drawn regarding the medium- to long-term effects of HUFAs in schizophrenia, according to the findings of the four meta-analysis available on this topic

So does this mean the jury is still out I wonder ?

I use EPA Fish Oil.
It’s supposed to be better than DHA for psychotic illnesses like Schizophrenia.

I’ve been taking EPA and DHS Omega fatty acids for years and years. I’ve noticed that since I’ve been taking them, I have had no depression or sad mood at all. I believe it works. I take one capsule three times a day. I’m sza.

May have something to do with your starting levels as well.

If you correct a deficiency, you’re probably going to improve.

The jury has been out for quite a few years. I’ve heard that Omega 3 is reckoned to be better at preventing the transition from high risk to developing psychosis/schizophrenia, but not so good when schizophrenia has set in.

I am using these Omega 3 fatty acids for years now. I am also using the Schizophrenia medicines for years now! Omega 3 is good for brain they say! I am not sure of their efficacy in treating mental disorders though!
