Super stressed and anxious - I don't know what to do

I am having massive stress and anxiety at the moment.

I had to leave work early as the tension throughout my body is exhausting and I could not take it anymore.

Therapy so far has been useless.

I have job worries, financial pressures and everything else my mind can drag in to my mind

To be honest I don’t know what the cure is and how to stop feeling like this.

It’s absolutely debilitating

I didn’t realise you were still working.

I have a few small landscaping jobs for family friends and neighbours etc.

Even this low level stuff is not working out

I have no idea what I am doing

I feel ya. My hands would shake at work from stress. I quit 15 different jobs after 1-2 weeks.
I gave up on work. I tried many meds including antidepressants, nothing worked :frowning:

Do you take anything for anxiety? An ssri? It sounds like it needs to be treated if it’s debilitating.

I take 30mg of Diazepam and 200mg of pregabalin. Tried Zoloft but it didn’t help

Maybe your pdoc can change your meds because your current meds aren’t working. Are you afraid to make changes?

I hate med changes.

I have had so many in the last few months I am getting sick and tired of them tbf

Me too. But I’m told if we practice it, over time we get better at it and it starts to work. My therapist said to do grounding techniques when I’m not afraid or anxious and that will help me later when I am.

I take benzos and buspar for that. Do you have any of those? :thinking::thinking::thinking:

Focus on calming things to help you relax. Take deep breaths and slow down. Listen to music, watch something relaxing or do something that will calm your body and soul. You will be okay. Call somebody who you trust, and just chat. We are hear for you, too.

Xanax calms me down in about 10 minutes and I take the smallest dose there is.

Pregabalin in max dose, 600 mg, did nothing for my anxiety and stress. On the contrary.

Antidepressant is better for anxiety. It helped me much.

fadetoblack. write down everything that is making you anxious and upset. then circle the ones that you feel able to help yourself with. the big stuff that is worrying you, you should discuss with your therapist if you have one or a friend to ease the burden. when you see it on paper you will know that the problems are with limits just like us.
