Starting the new semester depressed

I haven’t been looking forward to the next few years at all really. It’s going to be a very challenging and stressful time in my life. I am afraid this is pushing me back into depression. Everything has felt grey and dull lately and I am being barraged w negative thoughts and feelings and this is how my episode last semester started.

I really want to get my physical health issues taken care of so I can go back on meds because this is awful. I am so unstable off of them.

I know that you are going through tough times. I would be ecstatic I remember that I loved going to class and learning new things. Everyday felt like I accomplished something. Carpe diem. CARPE DIEM!!!

Although I guess you should take it seriously if it is depression. If you think you are going to have an episode seek help.

I know how you feel. I am really struggling emotionally right now. Everything feels dismal and I have no motivation. It’s terrible. My antidepressants aren’t helping at all. Here’s to hoping we both get better!

@Anna

You may find it helpful to simplify the challenges by breaking them down. Trying to focus on too many things at the same time can be overwhelming.

I’m starting very anxious! My classes start next week and I’m already having anxiety dreams about one of them.

I haven’t felt that spark in a very long time. Not since middle school practically. 90% of my classes in college have been horrifically boring and an absolute sludge to get through. I have a bad feeling this semester won’t be any different.

My dad asked if I could split up my classes and take some later but with my graduation schedule that’s just not possible. Plus at this point I really just want to be done.

I remember earlier you were talking about whether to take the short route or the long one. A doctor’s degree or not. If you lost that spark maybe you should take the short one. If you feel it come back later you can try to go back to college. Otherwise you are just trudging it out for no reason. My two cents. Use the shorter one to get a job and do that for a while.
