No worries @Twialine . It’s such a useful tool and it’s free to use which is better. I have a food breakdown on the fitbit but it doesn’t do the fibre which is so handy on the keto.

Good luck and keep on keeping on.

It’s very useful!

I plan on making stew, with stew meat, carrots, and rutabaga (maybe onion slices I absolutely love onions) (rutabaga is keto when cooked but can’t have to much, I’m planning on trying to separate everything to weight everything out!)

Yeah it’s so good to be able to put in your portions. It really gives you good control over your food.

As too any foods. Just google most and you get the idea then put them through the manager to see the results. I’ve some digital scales I got years ago that still work and it’s so easy just to weigh my portions.

It works but some days I’m slack or do a carb load simply for variety. Still. Lost my xmas weight where I had a good time and doing well.

I weighed in the nurse practitioner’s office on Nov 13th at 220 lbs this was my weigh in today!

If you can’t read it it’s 204.6 lbs!

How’s your ankle doing?

@FreeLunch still painful but better I think… They say a stitch is in there refusing to dissolve and that’s what caused the infection

Well that’s good that you know what’s going on now?

I really really broke my diet today but I’ll do better tomorrow… I had left over sweets and I ate them all… Last of the sweets in my house is gone

hey just checking back through after some time away but good your getting results! Makes it so worthwhile because it is restrictive eating when you first start out on it. You soon find what you like to eat so it does become easier. Way to go on the weight loss!

@rogueone it’s not to bad… I did cheat big time on my diet today but I have chicken legs and breast in BBQ sauce in the crockpot for tomorrow and I still have keto stew

I actually like the diet in a way

Yeah. I can eat something good multiple days in a row so I’ll stick to a 2-3 day plan. Works well for me and cheat days get me through. I still watch the macros but keep it within levels. I gained 3 kgs over Xmas having a good time but reigned it in and doing better than usual.

It’s a work in progress but you can still eat food you enjoy. Yeah I miss rice and pasta but I kinda don’t in some ways because I’m eating different and still enjoying it!

More power to you and well done!

@rogueone how’s your mental state of mind doing though?

The woman who does living well with schizophrenia is going COMPLETELY keto and her’s is slightly more intense because she counts total carbs not net

Yeah I’m doing really good. I pretty much live as high as I can within the 50grams but mentally really good. More motivation. More enjoyment out of simple things which is really good. Lowest clinical doses of my meds.

I’m drinking way more caffeine but other than that I’m drinking way less alcohol than I used too and I’m getting stuff done when it comes to life and things like exercise.

Mentally. I would say I’m sharper than I have for years and my shrink has commented that my mood has improved simply from our 10 minute, 6 weekly catch ups.

@rogueone amazing! I hope to have good results too… That’s partly why I’m going keto… That and weight loss… How’s your weight doing? We’re you bigger than you were supposed to when you started keto?

Yeah. I was in the obese category for my BMI. I’ve got that down to normal. I hope to reach about 82-84 kgs from 110 worst…to about 108kgs when I started the dieting. Lo fat/ lo sugar first then moved to the lo carb/keto.

I put on 3 kgs over xmas but I tend to fall into ketosis pretty quick it seems. I’ve lost that and moved down from 87 kgs where I was stuck to around a bit less than 85 at the moment. I’m almost to my goal but lately been having two bigger meals through the day…

So snack in mornings. A lunch/ breakfast at brunch so 8-10 am then a tea/dinner around 2-3 pm. Seems to be working good as I’m losing again and I’m not that hungry between times and not going to bed with a full stomach which seems to help…

It’s a work in progress but losing is hard still even on keto. You need to dial in your approach if you hit the wall and you will hit a wall for sure. It’s still worthwhile punching through that though.
