I’m going to do low carb and cut out sugar and stop having wine. I bought some portion control plates and will be having more veggies

Best wishes to you @Twialine with the keto. I’ve never tried it. I know people have success with it though. I am trying more exercise and activity.

Thank you @anon90992146, my husband’s birthday is coming up so I’ll probably eat something off the diet

Hey good luck. It’s different but it works. Try a carb tracker. You can get a free one on your phone and it’s great for tracking your macros. You don’t really need to buy into it and your probably all over it anyways.

My latest bloodwork was good after over 6 months doing the keto/lo carb thing. Feel really good and still making gains.

Red wine is supposed to be good for you in moderation.

Yeah I think a glass a day is okay

I’m ordering my food ingredients online to pick up without going inside! I’m really bad about impulse buying but I can’t do that if it’s already ordered and not going into the store!

I’m really feeling good about this and I’m under budget unlike how it usually am

Hey sorry so late but doing a lot and not able to get through too much these days…

All good policy and wish you luck. It really does work if you do it properly and do the exercise if you can. It really makes a big difference but sort it all out medically.

You can still eat well with keto. I am lucky that I can eat the same thing for days in a row if it’s decent so I buy protein and keep the veges and assorted going for the fibre. It’s a complicated thing but my latest bloodwork was good after 6 months on keto…It’s working for me so I’m keen to see how others do with it!

I’m doing a hobby and sticking to it…I’ve lost big weight. I’m down to minimum clinical doses in my psych meds and I’m feeling really bloody good!

I think there’s something to this so hope you find that satisfaction too!

I am enjoying being on keto - I feel better physically.

This is my 2nd time also, it’s been about 2 months I’m not sure.

I am using sugar substitute because I don’t want to fail again.

@rogueone do you have any advice?

Some people are able to reduce or get off medication on keto apparently, good luck. I tried it for a couple months myself.

Keep moving. It helps so any exercise is good burning the fat.

MCT coconut oil is good. It’s like pure fat so I do 1 tablespoon before every meal. Nowadays I’m basically doing 2 meals a day so added intermittent fasting but if your feeling the hunger pains do 3 meals but eat well.

Avocados are great too and add fibre…I think that is important to add fibre so above ground veges like broccoli, cauliflower etc. Use your carb tracker and watch your macros but be kind to yourself. It’s a guide not a be all and end all. Shite. Some days I blow out carbs simply for the exercise.

Let us know how you go. It’s very intriguing to me this whole approach and I’m interested in people adopting this sort of approach. I’m bottomed out on my meds and improved heaps. I was treading water for years.

“Carb Manager” is really good and I think you can use for free. Tracks protein, fat and the carbs but breaks down your carbs with the fibre. Important to get enough fibre into your diet too so its real handy. It’s easy to use and has a scanner so you can scan bar codes of popular items and it’ll add them for you.

It’s a great start.
