I’ve been watching these a lot lately, I can vicariously travel through someone brave enough to do it lol.
I watch a travel channel and they often show trains. The first train company in the US was in 1827. They had charcoal and steam locomotives.
When I was feeling anxious or having trouble sleeping, I used to watch these “Slow TV” videos, specifically the train videos. The picturesque, but somewhat boring passing scenery, plus the soft monotonous sound of the train noises and other background sounds was pretty relaxing. They also had Slow TV videos of stuff like ferry voyages and knitting, but I didn’t really watch any of those.
