Sometimes its hard to stay out of the work force

in the past I have done some work that would have been nice if I had not have been to sick at the time, knowing isn’t like experiencing …a good person that is trained knows if he or she is doing good at there job. to a degree. many of times stress isn’t seen by a worker but by the jobs out come, little steps in the work place less the amount of work load and make a better job for most, but people like a good challenge , but work place don’t let up after you prove you can. this make it hard for most with schizophrenia. ask to your self can and do I see my self doing it for 6 months or more. then ask your Dr is this the wright job for you. ask family only if they are supportive, and have knowledge of the jobs criteria. and remember trying is not the only way, you can remain jobless and still be work for your self…your own caregiver, home cleaner etc.

That’s the way I look at it. I keep busy with an occupation even though I don’t have one. Clean the house exercise, stay involved at church, go to my appointments. That knocks me out when I don’t crash.

Like my therapist has said since I quit working, my new job is to take care of myself and to get better.

I like that - since going on disability, my new job is to manage and take care of myself.
It is so true, it is hard work trying to remain somewhat stable, I have way too many symptoms to manage

Our house and property here would be in shambles if I worked a job. It is a full time job to keep up with it all…mostly relaxing, but quite a bit of hard work involved at times…gardening, landscaping, cutting and splitting wood, home repairs and improvement inside and out, taking care of animals, etc…that’s on top of the regular chores of cleaning, cooking, taking out trash and all that.
