I try not to feel bad about my poverty when I see all my family and friends eating like kings and going places on facebook. I just keep posting my stuff and getting support but man, some ppl have great lives…

Money is not everything. I do well financially but still feel ill often. I can’t motivate me to do most things.
Edit: I like the saying health is wealth.

And someone is doing worse. Same income with kids so more mouths to feed. I don’t know about over there but here it’s hard to get rentals, public housing is long waiting lists and unemployment is a pittance.
There’s always someone else who has it worse and honestly… You sound like you live a pretty cruisy life with a partner and without too much stress. Many here have no chance of finding love and that is a pretty good thing you have.

@rogueone I guess you’re right…I didn’t mean I wasn’t happy, I am. I have a lot going for me and my wife so to speak…and we have love…I’m sorry to make light of others, it was not my intention…I just see a lot of ppl doing so well in life and it makes me wonder what I’m doing wrong.
Concentrate on this. Worrying about what everyone else is doing is obviously making you unhappy. Money is good for some things. Bad for others. You can’t take it with you. You can’t snuggle with it in any meaningful way.
It’s hard being poor but hey. Your not the only one. I have no money and a very fixed income but I have nice things. It takes work to get them but you have to be prepared for that. You have to make it happen sometimes.

Don’t need wealth to be happy. Just need to thrive. In fact you can wonder if people who put a lot of effort into fronting they are living a eventful life really are happy. If it was so why do they put so much energy into “proving” it.

Its my opinion that social media is toxic and this is a good example. I usually dont worry about who is better off than me until i get on facebook, though my jealousy is more about people having live in partners and a good social life.
