Are these things that come naturally to most people or do they have to be learnt?
I’m not sure I really get them.

I had to learn social cues. I had to learn what they are, and how to respond with my own social cues to get the desired result.
So if I use all caps, how do you interpret it? How do you interpret words? WELL, HOW THE HELL DO YOU INTERPRET THEM?
The ‘How the hell’ bit tells me more than the caps. I just know it’s standard convention not to use all caps. Having said that I’ve heard of people using caps to emphasise a point instead of putting the text in bold/italics.
I’ve had to teach myself social cues, for sure.
Didn’t I come off as a shouting, belligerent as*hole?
Not really, but then I know you’re not those things.
Thanks.
I have great respect for you. I was just trying to see if you picked up on that social cue.
Like anything, the more you practice and apply social cues the better you get.
I know from having read about the use of all caps it’s regarded as an internet faux pas. Whether I would have known otherwise is another matter.
I’ve often felt like I was the only one not given a social cues’ handbook at birth.
It’s been a slow progress trying to learn them, but I’ve got an ok grasp on it now.
after my med change i had to relearn these things but it is a very good way to interact with people and tbh you never stop learning and adapting to each different situation as they come up.
