Speaking for myself and strictly myself, I picked up a lot of bad habits when I was drinking and they didn’t go away when I stopped. In my case it took a lot of AA meetings and still does as I’m sure everyone here has noticed I have by no means achieved perfection. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I hope you will consider seeking help, be it a 12 Step program or additional therapy.

Why are you stopping Ritalin? If you were abusing it, it would be better to take it as a therapeutic dose because under stimulation would make you crave it which is the reason as to why they are using it to combat cocaine addiction.
Yes, my doctor said I could try it.
Yeah, I was abusing it. I can’t take it because of my illness (it makes positive symptoms worse) but I was using it originally to self-medicate my negative symptoms.
