So so I relapsed moving from risperidone to ability after 3 months

I’m OK now in a clinic nicer than any of the places been before not sure if its been lockdown. Med change or tobacco ban but stable now. Also relapsed the first week back at work and running out of figs same time and risperidone removed same time.

Glad to hear you’re ok.

My theory is it was nicotine withdrawal at a stressful time but pdoc says its the med change

Nicotine can actually cause symptoms. How long have you been smoking?

About 15 years on gum now

I chew like five gums a day

Been smoking one a day for like a week now but clean from cigs for two days.

Marijuana does but never heard that nicotine causes psychosis. I have been vaping nicotine for years and never had any psychosis. I had psychosis before while on Abilify. Abilify is a weak antipsychotic, just a partial not full dopamine antagonist.

You Dr is right, its the med change. Same thing happened to me.

That’s what doc explained pity didn’t work as loved ability others rwise

QApologies for typos old tablet I am using

How long did you take to recover when they putb you back on old meds?

A couple of weeks.

I am on Risperdal now. Before Abilify I was on Latuda. I tried Olanzapine when my illness started 9 years ago.

That’s my experience but doc says a week so I’m hoping
