So last night my boiler (furnace) was playing up. All fixed now

I rung my landlord and they came round right away and fixed it. Good as new. That was very kind of them to come round so fast

I’m glad they took care of it so quickly!

That’s one thing I really like about renting. The upkeep is usually the landlord’s responsibility. I have been blessed with good landlords in the places I’ve rented in the past. I’ve heard some bad stories over the years but I’ve had no problems myself.

Woe is me. Another couple drops of moisture off the same bit of the boiler. Phoned my landlord again

I rent and have to take care of all the maintenance… however I can deduct all charges from the next month’s rent

Landlord came round again and it seems to be fine now. Will check it once again before bed.

Hopefully it won’t be crazy like last year. Have you driven in snow/ice before. You need to be cautious

yes but not much, its been a long time and i just dont drive if its too bad.

have been caught out a couple of times

Thats why im glad i fought for a council flat and waited ten years. Been with many private landlords in the past that treated me like crap.
Boiler playing up one day - and three weeks later had a new one fitted in the kitchen. And my bills are cheaper. I appreciate the security of having a local authority as a landlord.

I was renting before this and they did not fix a thing that I asked them too. Ended living up in a moldy smelling flat because they would not fix the flooring in the shower room. So much better with a mortgage.
