Are people getting so better on their medication that they go back to work these days? Mostly with invega, abilify, latuda going generic and karxt coming out are we starting to get optimistic to go back to work or not?
Where do we even start? I was hoping that with the military coming home there would be a huge economic prosperity because theyll spend all their money on opening businesses.
Karxt man i really cant wait. I wanted to be an accountant or finance expert but i had to leave college…
I’m hopeful it might help, I’ll probably be laughed at for feeling this way though but I genuinely can see the logic behind it being novel compared to existing APs
It is logical that there is so much optimism among schizophrenics and doctors. There will be a new treatment for schizophrenia after 50 years.
It’s too much time.
Exactly. KarXT does not block dopamine throughout the brain. It indirectly reduces it in some parts. And it even increases it in others, for example in the mesocortical pathway. That is why KarXT is believed to help against negative and cognitive symptoms.
Can someone contact the admin, i dont want to have a trump like official find this on google and get budget cut ideas for social security. Negative symptoms are too abstract for normal people to understand @admins
Cool. Doesnt sound much different to abilify to me. But i dont follow the science. Hope its the beginning of a new era for sz people and combating the negs.
Abilify might have worked but the doctor took me off it because he said they werent working. I took the bus to the hospital and started calling the FBI saying there were pain killers in the hospital. I might try it again one day but for now i like what im on
Abilify is a D2 receptor agonist and blocks these receptors. KarXT acts on M1 and M4 receptors and does not block dopaminergic receptors.
It indirectly decreases dopamine in some areas of the brain, mainly the mesolimbic area.
I don’t think it’s going to change the game the way a lot of people think it is. Could be wrong though. Maybe it’s so much more comfortable than current meds that a lot of us really do end up getting a lot better on it. I’m keen on evenamide. I think that drug will change the game.
