Hi there, I got into the clinical trial for KARxt today, next Tuesday is my first day with the drug. I did not have to sign an NDA so I will hopefully be updating you on, effects how well it attends to negative symptoms. I’m still so surprised no one has mentioned how they feel on it. I use exercise to deal with my negative symptoms and am more schizoaffective and hope KARxt will be able to replace that in full or partially . I have high hopes for this drug as I have been researching it for over a year. I’ll keep in touch!
Good luck, hope this one works for you. It’d be nice to have alternatives to dopamine blockers because I react badly to most of them.

Is karxt not a dopamine inhibitor?

From what I’ve read, it works on acetylcholine and muscarinic receptors, which rebalances dopamine along the way.

So its pushes dopamine in different directions to what is normal in a sz patient kind of thing?

I don’t understand why your you want to substitude exercise with a pill. There is a lot of studies that support the ideas that exercise improve your cognition and wellbeing. I saw that the average reduction of negative symptoms was two out of 36 points on the negative scale after 4 weeks with K ( almost nothing) so I believe that Big pharmacy selling point for K will be few side effects by the same time strong antipsychotic.

I don’t think they quite know how effacious Xaneomeline+Troposium is, also I don’t think they have measured the negative symptoms. I think the panns scores are about the positive symtoms…I really don’t know there isn’t enough info about it
