So yeah. I smoke weed sometimes. And in periods I have smoked it alot. My psychologist advises against it.
So I’m kind of lessening the use of it. Yesterday I smoke with some friends though. We went to the cinema (sausage party) and I just couldn’t concentrate at all. I was overanalyzing everything. It was really annoying and confusing. After about 10 minutes I found my cool again and I enjoyed the movie. Afterwards I internally agreed on not smoking any more weed that same day. But I just couldn’t resist and smoked some more. (kind of stupid) Sometimes the weed makes me calm but most of the time my head gets really full and I totally space out.
I’m thinking about stopping the use of weed completely. But since it’s kind of what we do when we’re together with friends it’s difficult for me. I feel like I might get a little bored if my friends are consumating weed while I’m just sitting there.
And I feel like I shouldn’t overstimulate my mental state.
I’ve smoked a little weed since I’ve been on med’s for sz. I don’t like the way weed makes me feel, with or without med’s. I get really spacey when I smoke weed. I’ve seen weed do a great deal of harm, but I don’t think it is as dangerous as alcohol. (Alcohol is my drug of choice, though.) Weed just makes you kind of stupid. If you drink alcohol you’re likely to kill someone in a car wreck.
yeah, i think you are right, you are starting to see the truth about this weed, its not something that i would give to my children if i had any put it that way and yes it does cause people to feel spaced out and out of touch with reality, this is why it s so dangerous, it can cause mental illness,
if you are out with your friends and they pass the joint its up to you if you wnt to take it, if you dont then its more for them to smoke anyway, i was like you but i ended up saying no and refusing it, no-one said anything about it and i just said i didnt like it and they were cool, if they are any kind of friend then they woud accept that you dont need to smoke weed.
Locking for above reason. Lots of good info posted about why those with SZ shouldn’t use illict drugs. It’s also pretty apparent to those who have been around this community for a long time that those who smoke weed generally have poorer outcomes than those who don’t.
