Smoking musings

What makes it so hard to quit? Ive been smoking on and off since i was a teenager, im well into adulthood now. Lately ive been trying to quit the habit again but it isnt sticking. It has become my routine to play video games for 30 mins and then light one up and then repeat that all day. My throats been super itchy lately and im coughing alot again.

The longest i went without a cig in the past 6 months was 3 hours. Thats kind of crazy that i smoke every hour, sometimes twice.

Im just musing about the crappiness of my own willpower and my inability to quit smoking. Lol

Nicotine is more difficult to quit than hard drugs apparently.

I switched to vaping as I couldn’t quit.

I’d like to give up vaping now but can’t.

Its very hard to type on my small S9 cellphone with my obese big fingers lol So many errors in my last post lol

It’s scary how many of those things I have taken as a teenager. FFS

I’d say make friends with people who have already quit. I was the last one in my house to quit smoking. The incentive was that everyone else had quit, so I could. It worked.

Have a break after the cigarette. I can’t have access to cigarettes and put a patch on. I get them subsidized on Medicare. It works, no stress and i am calm, but it took me some years of mental work to get to this point. In a few years, eventually, I am forced to quit, cause they will be unaffordable.
