Smoking cigarettes

I’ve been having an on a off battle with cigarettes, I really need to quit, sometimes I won’t have one for a few hour but have to buy them because I’ll fell stress if I don’t have them, anyway I google and seen this, it might hep me finally stop cigarettes, I already know I need to stop for health, sometimes I have cognitive dissonance when I already know better, old habits die hard

I quit 6 years ago so it’s definitely possible.

But I tried about a dozen times before I succeeded.

I used to smoke 1-3 packs a day. I’m down to 20-30 cigs a day. I make them. I spend like $60-80 a month by doing it myself. Combined wth my more expensive energy drink addiction, I don’t think I’ll naturally live past 60 years old.

I relax, get anxious, and get a buzz. It helps me focus and concentrate, but it’s a total time waster and sinker. I smoke a couple hours during the day. I used to be a chain smoker.

I don’t want to quit, I enjoy and love it, but I think it worsens my condition in the long run.

Set a date to quit and quit a few days before, for me I stopped on the 28th of December and managed not to smoke even until now from new years, still haven’t!

I quit almost 5 years ago. I could feel it destroying my health and I just decided I don’t want that. I developed necrotic tissue below my left collar bone. But it appears to have slowly healed. I applied castor oil on it for several months. I’m not sure if that was the kicker or if it just healed without help.

Like a psychologist said, why do people take better care of their car then they do themselves?

This is a question for the ages.

I don’t really smoke any more but I use nicotine pouches. They’re okay but I don’t like the xylitol and artificial sweeteners they use. They cause me heart problems.

I smoked a pack a day for 5 years. I quit cold turkey 20 years ago. I don’t crave cigarettes at all.

I recently stopped snus (Swedish tobacco). I still crave it but it’s manageable.

I don’t understand why people smoke? The health hazards are really something that should be of concern. I’ve seen people with oxygen tanks strolling around in hospitals. It’s not a pretty picture I can tell you that.

Just quit!

My dad was constantly smoking the past forty years . I don’t smoke cigarettes or vape because I have four nodules small in my lungs and pancreatic cyst. I’m not telling anyone what to do. It’s ■■■■■■■ expensive and the money can go somewhere else. I hope you quit. Hugs

I was 13 when I started, quit cold turkey when I was 21, then stupidly started again when I was 24. I smoked for another sixteen years, quit cold turkey at the age of 40. I’m now 44; it will be four years since my last nicotine August 31st.
