Do people with schizophrenia tend to smoke? I curious about that…
yes I think that’s true I’ve heard that schizophrenics tend to do drugs and smoke more than the normal person…maybe I’m wrong though…somebody can probably post a statistic here …?

I read that smoking is a common thing with schizophrenia. Personally I vape.

I smoked for many years, now I vape. It helps with anxiety.
I only smoked one pack of cigarettes when I was going to Beauty School, but I quickly found out that I could either smoke, or breathe, but not both.
3 oit of 6 in my family growing up smoked like a chimney- anybody with smokers in the house during the winter recall that thick blue smoke that hung in the air like a dorty blanket?
I still can’t stand the smell of cigarettes in the house.

I used to smoke years ago. But I vape now. I’m terribly addicted to it. I need the nicotine. It helps me. Calms me down.

80 percent of schizos smoke. They also spend like 25 percent of their income on smoking

Yes a lot of us smoke. I smoke a pack a day and am trying to cut down. I used to smoke on and off through my twenties but never more than 10 cigs a day until I got schizophrenia and started getting really stressed. I don’t enjoy my cigarettes like I used to.

Taxes are like double in California I think. Makes our money go a lot quicker.

Online, it says cigs are like $5 something a pack on average in California, but that’s if you get the shitty, crappiest ones. I like Maverick and pay $7-8 for those and Marlboro is like $8-9. I try and go to the cheaper stores too. Not sure what to believe anymore online.
Anyways, I started making my own and it’s great. Just gotta get some stimulants from my ADHD doctor to cut out the pricey energy drinks and keep my health, weight, and crap in check.

Oh the marlboro packs I get are 5.80 in VA (the tobacco state) but they are 9.80 here in CA. There are cheap brands but they usually taste stale.
