Sleeping help

what is the list of antipsychotics that help with sleeping. So far I’ve tried zyprexa, haldol, risperdal, and prolixin and none of those helped with my sleeping problems.

Thanks

seroquel will help, even at extremely low doses like 25mg

the big sedators are seroquel, zyprexa and clozaril, however all atypical antipsychotics could also be called major tranquilizers, which points to the fact that they all sedate you to some degree. some paradoxically can cause insomnia, the partial agonists vraylar, rexulti and abilify are known for this side effect. however these can also be sedating, they basically all can with some being more than others

u could also try antidepressants like trazodone mirtazapine, or fluvoxamine, they tend to be sedating as well as some older meds but those have nasty interactions and side effects

Is Geodon sedating like seroquel or no?

geodon is medium sedation, seroquel is medium to high.

Geodon was very sedating to my husband. I take 160mg and it’s not sedating to me. My husband took 40mg one time and slept for 2 days straight. He can’t take it.

u cant go from 0 to 40, of course itll be tough. weve had time to adjust to the meds

I started at 80mg of geodon and had no trouble. I then went from 80 to 160.
