Sleep Pattern Messed Up

I’m having such a hard time getting into a nice normal sleep pattern, Need to nap so end up sleeping till 1 or 2 in the morning, then tired when the day comes along and back to napping.

Same here. I got up at 1:30 am, and I’ll probably take a nap sometime today.

Abilify sorted that problem out for me. Have you tried melatonin or valerian root for sleep. I actually think no natural things work and it’s really the abilify that corrects my sleep. Before I took abilify I would sleep all day and wake at night. It’s was weird. I used to be up for 48+ hours. Now I take abilify I instantly sleep when night falls.

It’s scary it has to be like this but all I can say is thank god for abilify.

its almost 8 am and I’m waiting for myself to feel even a little bit tired, sleep is the best thing ever but I can’t get it so I have to accept my 3 hours of sleep I might get in a few hours praying that I get something to knock me out when I see my doc

Same for me. I just woke up, and it’s 3pm here.
I sleep for 12 hours straight, it’s as if I physically cannot will myself out of bed or something until 12 hours have passed, and it’s starting to get in the way of life.


I don’t understand why I only seem to be capable of deep restful sleep during the day. I sleep only very lightly at night and wake up constantly. It is also hard for me to fall asleep at night but I can pass out right away during the day.

I use sleeping pills to keep my hours straight. Stay away from caffeine after noon and stay away from certain meds at night. But it’s pretty important to me.

Could it be a certain med your taking at night? That keeps you up.

I don’t know why this happens to me but I have to get about 12 hours of sleep in order to feel refreshed. So this is abnormal sleep. It sucks though because it interferes with my life. It must be just as bad for you.
