Sleep paralysis sucks

I was just in sleep paralysis and was hallucinating like crazy. There were these little cartoon figures around my head making noise like an animation. I was looking at the wall and starting seeing beautiful designs in it. The worst part is the terror I was feeling.

Just met a guy today that has sleep paralysis as well, he also said the hallucinations or visions (still not clear what they really are) were terrifying.

I had it three or four times when I was younger. Haven’t had it in over three years though. Truly is terrible!!! I’m sorry!!

I used to have this really badly. I have managed to mostly get rid of them by no longer napping, and by waking up at roughly the same time every day.

i just had sleep paralysis wow it hasn’t happened in a while no hallucinations but I don’t remember much if It I just know it happened I slept for 2 more hours than I usually do

I like sleep paralysis. At first it was scary as heck, but now i like to push myself and dont try to mentally snap out of it. It’s kinda cool. My type i dont hallucinate tho, just hear deafening ringing. I pat attention to breathing like i was taught in mindfulness and its not so scary.

If you know how to wake yourself up from a dream, that’s also how you snap yourself out of sleep paralysis. Just a tip. Before I knew that I read that you should focus on trying to move your big toe. That helped me as well. Also even though it can be very difficult try your best to stay calm during sleep paralysis, because the more scared you get the scarier your hallucinations can become.

I experienced it for a number of years and ended up using it to study hallucinations. Eventually I got too good at breaking out of it and would end it automatically before I got a chance to do anymore study. Then for some reason I stopped getting it completely. I’ve experienced it maybe only 2 or 3 times in 5 years now where I used to get it every day.
