So now I’ve been having sleep paralysis constantly

Totally trippy, hadn’t had sleep paralysis in ages, I see that show and wish I had it again and now I’ve been having it like every other day practically. I’m not as awake as I used to be when it would happen though and am in basically a half dream state. Today’s hallucinatory experience involved me seeing things on the walls, getting disturbed by that (wasn’t even scary stuff was just like…ornamental stuff that I knew wasn’t actually on my wall), closing my eyes and getting that sensation of me being dragged.

I’ve realized that’s become a common sensation for me during sleep paralysis, it feels like something is grabbing me and just dragging me around, sliding me off the bed, etc. Once I felt like something was holding me before like a baby that was super creepy. Anyways with my eyes closed I quickly slipped into weird half dream half awake experiences where I felt myself paralyzed by was totally seeing and experiencing a dream I just couldn’t move.

For one part I was at a table with doctors and a girl whose face had been badly damaged in some accident and they were discussing how to fix her. Felt like something was eating me during, like a giant leech thing just swallowing more and more of me. Then it was gone and I was in some room with a floor with checkered tiles. And my addictive feelings took over and I said if anything wanted to feed off me it could and the lights in the room started switching off coming towards me like in a horror movie or something. Then I was back in my bed, still paralyzed for a moment and then it passed. Weird experience.

summary: just sharing my trippy sleep paralysis experience

Oh I hate sleep paralysis, I went through a few months where I had it a lot. It usually happens during a bad dream I wake up from, experience sleep paralysis, then fall back asleep into. I can’t figure out what caused it but it’s rare for me.

I hope it doesn’t persist for you

Sometimes it’s bad sometimes it’s just interesting. I find trying to remain impartial, observant and curious helps. Though when I’m half asleep during my mind wanders and then it can really head anywhere :disappointed:

It would be nice if more of the dreams were good ones though

I have sleep paralysis every time I wake up, If you can’t move try to open your hands first, I also get locked into a state of mind where I’m half stuck in a dream and half awake, I only love it if it’s a sex dream. Just repeatedly open and close your hands.

Oh I know how to snap myself out of it but when I’m in a half asleep state I don’t have the common sense to do so. Thanks though!

I already graduated actually I should update that. I have a degree in cell biology & neuroscience and am in the process of getting my nursing degree though that is going quite slowly…I minored in psychology. Feel free to pick my mind haha.
