Do any of you have a sibling that truly can’t stand anything about you?
I have such a sibling. This sibling just goes out of their way to pretty much ruin me mentally. It’s kind of terrible and heartbreaking at the same time.

my brother abused me growing up and has a lot of antisocial behaviors that drive a massive wedge between him and me, and between him and pretty much the entire family

Yes, the middle child thinks me ( the youngest) and the eldest are the golden children.

That’s unfortunate @anon84763962. It seems like siblings often fight each other a lot, especially for the attention of the mother.

She lives a very different lifestyle to my other sister and I. She’s kind of a breakaway in the family.

My brother is the golden child. He said that I am faking my illness and that I need to find two part time jobs.
Also i am fat and that i should go for a run. Needless to say that I really hate him.

My brother and I infamously did not get along. We fought all the time growing up. We hated each other one minute and were best friends the next. Usually, when we fought, we were at each other’s throats until someone (usually me) ended up screaming for help. Nowadays, we don’t really talk, but we get along when we hang out. I guess he kinda mellowed out over the years.

I was an ass to my sister for most of my adult years till I was diagnosed!
I have such a better relationship with her now and I’m glad! Early sz and stupidity don’t mix!

My brother isn’t well-liked by my two sisters and even my mother. He’s got antisocial tendencies, but hasn’t done too much beyond some light emotional abuse of everyone in the family except our deceased father.
The strange thing is, I’m probably the most tolerant of him, even though he uses my chill nature against me to borrow my car, and I’ve let him get away with a lot. I just don’t like him, but feel obliged sometimes to stick my neck out for him. I hate and like him, it’s complicated.

I get along with both my brother and sister. My brother is the oldest and my sister is the youngest. My dad regularly helps out my brother with large loans for housing him and his two sons. My dad has supported my sister, her husband and their three kids for the last 15 or so years. My sister’s husband got into an accident and ended up losing a leg. She is in the process of divorcing him.
My dad helped me out at one point, but only because my uncle intervened. He lent me about $700, but since i cant pay him back, he won’t lend me money or help anymore.
Both of them did some pretty terrible thing to me after i got sick, but they are nice enough now. But at this point, no one in my family is willing to do anything but ignore me if I get worse or need help.

MY brother was a ass, was always chasing my GF"s, stole my car once, always taking. I quit talking to him when I was 18 and to this day would not trust him on anything
