My depression became severe, I restarted Cymbalta and stopped lexapro. Im only on 30mg cymbalta. I read that cymbalta enhances haloperidol and I think its a good thing. I hope its the last of my antidepressant shuffling in the past 2 years

Hence my psychiatrist doesnt mind me stopping or starting antideptessants. She believes i have good concience anyways

Your psychiatrist is doing you a huge disservice then, in my opinion. You always hear people say of antidepressants that you won’t feel the full effect for 4 weeks, I think it takes longer to get the full effect and get rid of side effects and really settle in. You tend to not really commit to any one med for very long and your poor brain has no idea what you are wanting it to do. Give it some time. Be patient. Increase the dose if you are still feeling depressed. It doesn’t happen over night.

Hi @Leaf , probably im switching meds due to my OCD. Ill try to stick to this med, but its sometimes hard. I started cymbalta today cause anxiety was bad on lexapro and I was on it for 4 weeks. Antidepressants usually for me starts working pretty quickly

As you know I take Cymbalta and I’m a huge fan. It works on my depression, anxiety and pain. I honestly don’t know what I ever did without it. I’m on the max dose. It didn’t impress me until the doc put me on the max dose, then it was like a light came on. I hope you find your light.
