Should I go to a hospital?

Yesterday I experienced panic/paranoia attack, some delusions were forming in my head and was scared to browse my phone and was getting all suspicious. Im only on haldol 70.52mg depot, should I immediatelly go and get hospitalized before (if) it gets worse?

You should talk to your psychiatrist and come to a decision with them. They know you the best and know the best thing for you.

As long as your not a threat to self or others

You’ll be ok

Do you all experience occassional paranoia and delusions.

Oh yeah, just last week I was convinced life was a simulation but I just rationalized it myself and I was ok, didn’t need a hospital

You should call your pdoc. As long as you’re not in danger you should be fine to make an emergency appointment instead of going to the hospital.

That’s a low dose of haldol, so you’ve got a lot of room to increase.

I have been to the hospital approximately 40 times. I had to learn to stop going. It was absolutely necessary most times. So I can’t answer your question.

I was worried when you said you were feeling a sudden surge of energy to do things. That sounded like hypomania.

I went to a psychiatrist todat and we talked for a long time, I said that im feeling not depressed and that I had an episode yesterday, she didnt suggest any med change or dosing up or hospitalization, she was worried about cymbalta, but I suggested it might Have interacted with escitalopram that I stopped 3 days before starting cymbalta. She just said that I should try and keep taking cymbalta. She was glad that Im not suffering from depression anymore, but cautious.

good to hear you saw your pdoc =) if she thinks you are doing ok then i wouldn’t worry… if things get worse again talk to your pdoc again and see what you gotta do.

I’m glad you talked to your dr. How do you feel about what she said?

I feel calm, we talked about upping the dose but she refused to do it, said there would be a lot of side effects. I felt really calm and relaxed after the meeting

I’m glad. I have trouble feeling calm so I know how good that must feel

Call the crisis lines and let them know what you’re going through. If nothing else, you’ll get some reassurance from it.

I just got back from the hospital. I had vowed to never go again. I’d say now it’s okay to go because in the past people lived there year round, now we go in and out.
