Should i go to the hospital?

Ive been paranoid for four hours and it is going tl continue into tomorrow. Should i go to the hospital where they will give me a 1000$ pill? Or just tough it out and hopefully pass out?

That’s tough.

I can’t afford a 1k bill - but if your paranoia poses a danger to yourself or others - no question.

Otherwise - can you stay safe in your room and take a PRN or sleep med?

I dont have a PRN. I feel safe. Like im not gonna do anything crazy. I feel like running away somewhere in my car. But i have nowhere to go.

Hang in there. Have someone hold your keys.

I’m super paranoid but I never go to the hospital anymore. I avoid it like the Bubanic Plague.

However, if meds usually work for you, call your pdoc to ask if you should go. A new med regimen might do wonders for you

Probably a bad memory trying to push its way into your consciousness. Just make yourself comfy.

It went away around 1am. I always panic that i have to go to the hospital. My doctor told me once if my symptoms get bad that i may need to go. So now every time i get oaranoid i think i have to go to the hospital and get even more paranoid

Hope you feel better now @pasteyface

Much better. Just kinda like a day after hangover. Emotionless

I get symptoms everyday. I will never go to the psych ward. The bill is like 25 grand for a week and all you do is watch Ted talk videos about the mind. I just suffer in silence. My family says I shouldn’t always talk about my ailments instead I should try to go out and have fun. Everyday I feel overwhelmed. I study and stay busy so my day has structure. Who knows maybe next year I’ll get better. This is the lie I tell myself. I’ve been on disability going on 5 years now. Sometimes I feel more stressed at home then when I was working full time. I’m pretty hard on myself. Freud would say it’s my super ego pointing out an inferiority complex. Well, I hope you can find some peace in the storm and try to salvage the day. Most people base their perception of life on whether they are happy. If a person or thing doesn’t make people happy then they’re on to the next happiness ride.
