But way back when, when things were really tough, whenever I was in a store it felt like I had onion juice in my eyes and thus could not keep my eyes open. This was embarrassing. Other times, my eye sight would instantly be so blurred once I was in the store, that I could not read item prices or any other item details. And then the moment that I stepped out of the store my vision was completely back to normal. Weird stuff.
Forced myself to go inside a big store today. After 10 minutes I ran into the washroom to do you know what. My eyes were so swollen and blurry after getting sick.
I usually wait until I’m completely out of something critical like coffee and then do a minimal shopping run for just a few basic items on top of that. I’m the one in the store looking for the shortest possible lineup with a single partially-filled basket. I don’t like being around crowds of people separated by shelves and PA systems, too many potentially triggering disembodied voices for me.
I shop okay, not recently, but it’s unfair to expect my mum to get everything and I wind up in town for appointments, as long as I have my headphones I tend to be alright, I just never look up! I tend to get very panicky, unsettled, but like you I get a little something as a reward. As some of you said; most of my shopping is online!
