Shadows + people

Wait you had sleep paralysis? The shadows while I’m awake can be tamed but the ones at night are terrible…

I didn’t mean to cross any lines, sorry >n<

Look, it’s fine to talk about the stuff we see, but don’t go fueling each other’s delusions thinking they’re the same entities and stuff like that. There’s no proof to that. If one day someone can bring me several studies proving the existence of these beings, than be my guest and do that. For now, no please. It’s completely anti-recovery.

And yes, I had night terrors.

That’s alright, it’s mostly for your wellbeing.

That gives me hope then ty…and I’m gone from this thread…

While it’s true that sleep paralysis is a documented condition, the hallucinations (waking dreams) during sleep paralysis are no more real than dreams. However, because you’re pseudo-awake, yet unable to move, the terror is heightened (sort of like your fight or flight instincts kick in yet you can’t actually respond because you’re temporarily paralyzed.)

I have had episodes of sleep paralysis typically a couple times per year.

I can’t tell if this ones real or not…so I deal with it as best as I can…I can break out of the paralysis…which ends the terror almost immediately… So I understand its false imagery kinda its just so damn scary.and vivid…plus a few other things but those are better left un said…I’m just going to stay away from shadow threads…they don’t trigger me but I don’t want to fuel anyone else’s problems with them…that’s why I edited the above posts…

no not them. they are like ghost

despite the meds I still see shadow people. sometimes they are small other times they spread across the whole wall.

do they come in as a group?

sometimes, mostly when trying to sleep I feel like i’m being watched by a crowd.
