Seasonal affective disorder - SUMMER EDITION

After a bit of research, I found out that some people have seasonal depression in the summer months. I believe I probably fall into that category.

My anxiety gets worse in the heat and I also generally feel less confident in my body image. Another thing I read is that some people with summer SAD feel like they’re SUPPOSED to be out having fun and socializing. I can definitely relate to that.

Anybody else feel worse in the summer? Any interesting treatment options?

I just hate when it’s too hot. But we got AC, so it’s all good.

My sister suffers from this to a mild degree. She just copes by taking good care of herself and honoring her feelings.

Yeah I have an AC in my apartment too. It keeps things pretty comfortable, but it makes going outside unbearable.

Interesting input @Leaf

I’m curious what you mean by honoring her feelings? Kinda like recognizing how it’s making her feel and setting limits in certain situations?
