I'm really depressed right now

I feel like everything sucks. With this heatwave I feel trapped inside. I can’t go visiting. No one comes to see me. And I feel awful for my son who works outdoors all day in this. And there’s no end in sight. This is the worst summer I can remember having here in the 17 years I’ve been here.

Sorry to hear that leaf. Maybe you could message your son and ask if hes doing okay? Even if he’s not it might feel good to hear from him?

I’ve had a bit of a bad day too and know how you feel. Just remember everything passes. Before you know it, it will be winter again.

I’m sorry you are in a poor mood leaf. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling great

I recommend some form of talking therapy - it is evidence based treatment for depression. Certainly helped me a lot just to get things off my chest and have someone understand me

I’m sorry you are having a rough time Leaf. Summer for whatever reason is always the worst for me. Without fail I always get worse in the summer. When the nice cool Fall weather comes back around I start to feel a lot better.

I’m sorry. Do you call people up and invite them over?

no, usually they just swing by when it’s nice out or they have time

Try inviting them over so you might get to see them more often

Yes. Remember the crisis lines.

Hey @Leaf … Sorry you’re having a down day. No doubt it’s hot. That makes things tougher. Hottest day on record ever, yesterday, here in BC. Iced tea often makes me happier. Try it. Thinking of you…

I really want iced tea right now. Thank you

I’m sorry you are having a rough time. Heat never helps and many of us on APs are sensitive to the heat so that doesn’t help things either.

Maybe give your son a text or call to see how he is doing.

Yea it must be difficult. We had highs of 29 degrees celcius and I could barely cope in that…

So across the pond I can’t imagine right now.

Hang in there.

The weather will change for us.

I find wearing just a really long light t-shirt helps if you’re not doing that already.
