Schizotypal personality disorder

I remember going on rants like these, especially when under a great deal of stress.

In calmer times, as long as the negative symptoms (the lack of will, low emotions) aren’t holding sway, it can be channeled into other things.

I hope this isn’t too personal, but you have a natural feel for poetry, I like the movement in it, like dance. It has a rhythm, as though the writing of the words has more than two dimensions, not just text on a screen, but is kinesthetic as well. There are a lot of strengths to non-linearity, because that’s what creativity is. Under stress, though, it’s easy to lose whatever can help you anchor yourself, no ballast, I remember spinning out further and further into the void, as I think you are now.

I think you might like Theodore Roethke’s poems (he was one of us). Maybe they can be helpful in some way, too.

As for t- he original post: she’ll seek help when she can. In the mean time, sharing your own experiences might help her to get up the courage, bring her some further insight…

Typically, we like to leave inactive threads alone and just start a new thread instead. This is different than how some forums are run, but we do it this way because it frequently upsets users to have old topics revived when they are no longer relevant. It can also be frustrating to the person who revived the thread when they don’t get a reply, because the original poster is no longer active or no longer finds the topic relevant. Feel free to start a new thread on this topic.

Thanks,
