Schizophrenia has finally reached the gamut

They’re not the same disorder. And there are varying degrees of both.

As far as molecularly they are quite similar though.

Bipolar people hear voices but not it’s not quite as common as szs. Sz is the more severe disorder. But there are similarities

I want to fall down from a park’s bench :unamused:

it’s all strange to me because I’m straight paranoid schizophrenic

the belief that bipolar can be here is a side step on what lays the mark.

All my life I haven’t belonged anywhere. It’s a constant theme I’m in the “minority” in a way. I guess even in schizo world there’s a hierarchy where I’m down the totem pole. “Schizoaffective”. Is this what you’re saying?

I didn’t mean to say that

I’m sorry, I just question.

Being sza, i’ve gone on bipolar forums as well as other sz sites. I have found this place to be the best place for support. Maybe that’s why others gravitate here, i don’t know.

I know very little though, except from Jason, my friend with bipolar

When i was first diagnosed bipolar, the first thing i did was go out and buy a book for my parents to help them understand me more. It was a pretty helpful book. Since then, i have read much about bipolar, sz and sza. I like being educated about what’s going on with me. It helps me to deal with it all.

I was initially diagnosed as paranoid sz, but I was re-diagnosed as schizoaffective. I’ve been told the paranoid sz diagnosis is considered chronic.

I think my current pdoc agrees with me that I’m probably more along the paranoid sz spectrum though.

@Coldcomfort. There is also a disorder Paranoid Personality Disorder. Could you have that instead? It doesn’t require hallucinations or hearing voices.

I’ve been diagnosed paranoid sz. But there really are men tapping my phone and computer and following me. It’s real! Before the antipsychotics I thought I worked for the government, but with them I don’t believe that anymore. But the men are real!

well, the gov can do whatever they want, I’m sure they’re doing data surveillance on Facebook, of course, they want to be privvy to terrorists. It’s all about staying safe and it’s all been known since 9-11. why do they want you? I think mine is my family RH negative blood, but I’m not sure.

@Daze they follow me because I thought I was CIA and I talked about it in public. They are former SEALs. Now they think I might work for someone else since I’m not in the CIA. If I do anything wrong or suspicious they will kidnap me and torture me for information.

that’s hard, and not sure how to take it.

On the one hand, you might be involved in something secret by just being followed,
but if you’ve done nothing wrong, you’re just an average citizen.

They can’t accuse you of a crime or espionage unless you can admit to it.

These forces are terrible. I’m sorry your’e suffering.

I have Sz, not bipolar, not SZA. However I don’t mind meeting them here.

@Jonnybegood, you are not in the “minority” on this site. There are an awful lot of people with sza on this site as well as sz’s. There seems to be an equal mix of sz’s and sza’s on this site. And don’t think that you are “lower” on the totem pole because you are not. Sza is just as serious and valid a condition as sz.

I didn’t mean to imply that

but I wonder about Diagnosed with Schizophrenia

and what that means to you and your doc

that is the general heading on here
