Schizophrenia documentary on Amazon Prime

It’s called: Unit of Difficult Patients: What Future of the Criminally Insane. There are very severe cases that the viewer is introduced to, but the underlying theme of psychosis and sz may be worth the watch.

And it’s free if you have Amazon Prime Video.

I am watching it, its in French which is my main language.

@aziz: what did you think of the documentary?

Its nice and really shows what severe schizophrenia can do. I am happy that I didn’t do a crime but was very close when unmedicated and when smoking weed. I stopped weed last year and I am 100% happily stable now since 1.5 years.

I’m glad to hear you were able to get dope smoking under control. I still struggle with it (I have one month sober) and still have weekly cravings.

Vaping 40-50mg/mL nicotine salts helped me. Switching from Abilify to Risperdal also helped me. Abilify made me impulsive and have multiple addiction issues.

Is it too much depressing? I cannot stand depressive things nowadays…

Its really about schizophrenia mostly.
One guy went to court to get out, he told the judge that he has a castle and that his father left him 2500 million euros when he died which is not true lol

I always seem to get triggered by these sorts of things.

I got used to it in mental hospital but blood and horror/zombie movies, tv shows and video games trigger my psychosis, I get scared and shaking, I stopped playing and watching these.

I hate the mental hospitals where I live.

Unless I am unaware of what’s going on I can be there a few weeks before I come to enough.

If I have any will left, it’s spent on trying to get the ■■■■ out of there.

So boring, and you cannot even smoke in the garden anymore

I don’t like that it sounds like the documentary only shows severe cases in which the person is violent. I’m not violent and I’m offended by that.

Its reality, some schizophrenics are violent especially without meds. I am violent without meds.

But to only cover violent people is inaccurate

I guess its easier for them to cover one mental hospital. Other documentaries are not violent.

Next time I’ll include trigger warning

Hi @LilyoftheValley,

Most of documentaries here show violent schizophrenic people.
It’s a way for producers to make audience and get money with commercials.
Most of our citizen here think that schizophrenic people is dangerous like everywhere else on the planet.
These documentaries are diffused in prime time.

Some of documentaries I watched on the internet were better designed.

See you.

I just wish it were more accurate. They could show both the violent and the nonviolent.
