Schizoaffective, undifferentiated, paranoid

The first psychiatrist diagnosed me with schizoaffective cos I had severe mood swings due to prodromal.
The second and third psychiatrists diagnosed me with undifferentiated schizophrenia.
The fourth psychiatrist probably thinks of me as paranoid; he writes in my prescription F20, the code of ICD for schizophrenia, without specific subtype. Subtypes are obsolete. We all have schizophrenia

Yeah diagnosis changes over time. The DSM changes over time and subtypes are a thing of the past.

I Found it changes even with distance. Here in Australia I’m paranoid sz. That makes more sense to my journey but when I was a patient in the States all those years ago I was told I was more SZ Affective. I think that is more common with the thinking over there…I don’t have much mania so I think paranoid sz is more suitable.

I think that more modern thing is if voices or certain symptoms it’s paranoid sz. I don’t think that is far off.
